I picked up a camera for the first time when I was 14.
I was having a photo shoot with Lainie. I was carrying two cameras that day: one digital camera and one film camera. Lainie borrowed the digital camera and started to take pictures of me. There are a few important things you should know about my photo shoots with Lainie:
1.) We always have fun.
2.) We always go on adventures.
3.) It's very hard for us to be serious together.
We had a tutu with us during our photo shoot. So when Lainie pointed the camera at me, I turned into a tutu-lion.
I love to have fun. I promise that we'll have fun when we take pictures.
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2001. I have had the pleasure of taking photographs for many diabetes organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Joslin Diabetes Center, and the College Diabetes Network
However, my work around Type 1 Diabetes does not stop with photography. I ran the 2014 Boston Marathon for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Center. I am running the 2015 Boston Marathon for the Joslin Diabetes Research Center.
The photographs below were taken by my sister during the 2014 Boston Marathon. The first photograph was taken at mile 16. The second photograph was taken at mile 21.
